Why teach chants?

Teaching rhyming chants to children ages 8 months to 5 years enhances language development and is essential in learning to read.

Chants, along with songs, movement, listening, and games, comprise activities that accomplish music objectives in preschool and Kindergarten.

There are great ideas in this little booklet. Use these as inspiration, but then make up some of your own as you move through your day!
