Do you need a new TABLE BLESSING? I’m sharing three I use all the time.
The first is “Thank you God,” which is a traditional tune with some words I changed. It’s quite easy to harmonize with but I wrote a 4-part version in case you’d like to follow that. Although I started using “Thank you, God” in my home, it’s now sung in Christian schools and churches around the world.
“Thanksgiving Day is Here” is a song I wrote to recognize the 400th Anniversary of the First Thanksgiving in 2021. The theme is gratitude, hope, and love with family and neighbors. It’s used by members of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, at family Thanksgiving tables, and in schools.
The final piece is a breakfast prayer with a traditional tune sung to Psalm 118:24: This is the day that the Lord has made! Using octaves, it’s a bit more difficult to sing than the other two but is quite uplifting.
Enjoy!
